2 Day Course - 9:30 to 15:30
- Headteacher to attend morning session of first day.
- Reception and Year One Teachers to attend both days.
Aims
The aim of this two-day course is to enable schools to work together to identify key elements of effective practice within the Foundation Stage, and ways in which teachers can promote these effective teaching and learning strategies in Year one and/or Key Stage one classrooms.

Key principles and practice within the Foundation Stage.

Ways of building on the key aspects of the Foundation Stage such as continued development of independence and child initiated learning, while ensuring developmentally appropriate practice in Year one.

Self-evaluation and self-review of Foundation stage and Key Stage one practice. What are our strengths and the areas for development?

Formulation of a 'Working Together' Development Plan.
