Full day course (9:30am – 3:30 pm)

Aims

This course is based upon a planning, assessment and profiling system intended for use in all schools accommodating children in Key Stage One. It will enable schools to formulate effective long term plans identifying coverage, map out medium term mini-topics and starting points and build short term plans that match the needs of individual schools. The system is built around a detailed scheme of work that will enable schools to plan clearly differentiated opportunities and activities. The system enables staff to add assessments and observations. It is then possible to identify the next steps and targets for individuals, groups and cohorts in all strands identified in the National Curriculum. Thus enabling schools to track the progress and development of individuals, groups and cohorts throughout Key Stage One. This system dovetails into the Planning, Assessment and Profiling system for Foundation Stage.
