Aims

The aim of this full day course is to share with delegates ways in which role play can be used effectively to support children with a range of differing abilities in the Foundation Stage and Key Stage One. This will be a highly practical course with opportunities to view a wide range of materials and resources. 

Content

  • Identifying effective starting points for purposeful role play.

  • Identifying developmentally appropriate opportunities for all children including those in Year One and Year Two.

  • The use of role play to support a range of differentiated opportunities in numeracy and literacy.

  • Organising and making a range of role play boxes.

  • Planning and making role play areas indoors and out that support the planned curriculum.
