Aims
The aim of this full day course is to share with delegates ways in which role play can be used effectively to support children with a range of differing abilities in the Foundation
Stage and Key Stage One. This will be a highly practical course with opportunities to view a wide range of materials and resources.
Content

Identifying effective starting points for purposeful
role play.

Identifying developmentally appropriate opportunities
for all children including those in Year One and Year Two.

The use of role play to support a range of
differentiated opportunities in numeracy and literacy.

Organising and making a range of role play boxes.

Planning and making role play areas indoors and out
that support the planned curriculum.
