Course Duration
1 Day Course - 9:30 to 15:30
Aims
The introduction of two-term entry into reception classes means that our practice and curriculum will need to be reviewed and amended to accommodate the needs of our younger learners. There will be a number of queries and questions that practitioners will want to address, for example ways of marrying the needs of the young learner with those of the older or more able child. This is of particular significance in mixed age and whole key stage classes. The aim of this course is to provide delegates with an opportunity to address the issues and to seek practical and manageable solutions that will enable them to work in a cohesive and effective way. The issues concerning two-term entry into the mixed age class will also be addressed and some practical solutions offered.
