This
comprehensive document is designed to provide the Foundation Stage
Practitioner with materials, resources and activities to promote a
stimulating, challenging and effective Foundation Stage Learning
Environment.
Within
this document you will find resources and ideas to support every aspect of a
Foundation Stage Environment both in and out of doors. So whether you need
number lines for the Maths Area, ideas for the use of your builders cement
mixing tray or resources to support the provision of creativity outdoors, you
will hopefully find all these solutions and more.
The
document is divided into 8 sections each linked to the key areas of the
Foundation Stage Environment. Within each section you will find book
lists, photographs, activities, and printable materials and resources to
laminate and use immediately or to print as needed from the CD ROM
provided.
The document, presented in an A4 ring binder,
consists of nearly 500 pages. The guide has been adopted by Walsall
EYDCP for use in
Nurseries and Family Centres supported by the EYDCP. In addition the
guide is used by Nurseries (maintained and non-maintained),
Primary and Infant settings in Telford & Wrekin, Shropshire, Dudley and
Northumberland.
The CD contains all of the resources
(and more) in the guide. The documents on the CD
were created using Microsoft Word 2000 (9.0.3821 SR1). All the information contained on the CD can be amended and printed to provide a hard copy that suits the needs of the setting. It is also possible for settings to store
documents on the computer.
